Polvo – In Prism Awesome new album from this east coast band. Mathy noodley guitar work with a powerful rythym section behind. First album in twelve years!! Great for fans of later Fugazi, Archers of Loaf, heavy jam rock. Check out ‘Beggars Bowl’ on Pitchfork.com
Modest Mouse – Interstate 8 Uber rare Ep from MM. Five early tracks of vintage sounds. But the real bonus is a six song ep hidden on the end. Recorded by Isaac Brock in his garage. Modest Beginnings, indeed.
The Beatles – Remasters Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band Well I wasapprehensive about this reissues series but the proof is in the pudding. AND they are stunning. Flat out. The real proof to is the last two songs on this absolutely art-tastic LP. The theme song reprise that rocks into the goosebump inducing epic – A Day in the Life. Inspiring.
PIXIES – Doolittle I’m going to see them in Nov. play this album all the way through so it has to make an appearance. I believe the term is re-obsessing??
Massive Moth – Heavy Hand of Whimsy A new local release and long anticipated too. Cooler than school tunes that wind around. Somehow this record is light pop and keeps the low end pounding probably thanks to the shirtless wonder that is Dug Hoffman.

Greetings – I stopped by your store in McMinnville over the weekend and was impressed by your art collection – glad to see folks so into “the art of the music business”.
RE: The Pixies/Doolittle – I interviewed Simon Larbalestier, the photographer who did the cover photo for Doolittle, earlier this year to get “the story behind the image”.
If you’d like to read the interview – here’s the link –

My mother recently passed away in Monmouth. She had over 200 LP’s, some still in the plastic wrap, all in their covers and approximately a half dozen albums that have 4-6 records in each. All big band era, lots and lots of Sinatra. There are also about 100 45’s in albums, maybe more. Also have a player piano in great shape with over 800 rolls and repair components.
If you are interested let me know. Call me 858.776.8576 to see all. Thanks.
